Carolyn Law is the founder of ARThausSG, a practising artist, designer and art educator. She established the studio in 2010 and graduated with a Master of Fine Arts in 2012. As its programme planner and senior art educator, she draws on her experience in painting, design and hands-on making to develop the studio’s teaching programmes.

Her creative practice explores cultural heritage through contemporary expression. Drawing on her Peranakan roots, she takes a particular interest in traditional motifs, bridal traditions, colour and craftsmanship. Her work has been exhibited in Singapore, Hong Kong, Düsseldorf and New York.

Teaching at ARThausSG

Carolyn encourages adults and children to look closely, explore ideas and develop confidence in their own artistic expression. Her experience of developing concepts, experimenting with materials and completing commissioned work brings a practical perspective to her teaching. She aims to make ARThaus a welcoming space where students can discover, experiment and express themselves freely.

Project Highlight: 2026 Singapore F1 Grand Prix Helmets

In 2026, Carolyn developed Peranakan-inspired concepts and drawings for Oscar Piastri’s hand-beaded and digital helmets and collaborated on the design of Lando Norris’s digital helmet.
She worked alongside master beader Angeline Kong on Oscar’s hand-beaded helmet. Angeline also advised on colour choices and how the direction and style of the beadwork could be reflected in the digital design.
